Dawson") was cobbled together from a four-part science-fiction miniseries shown on Italian television. In prehistoric times, the muscular Yor (Reb Brown in a loincloth) saves his cave-babe (Corinne Clery) from a dinosaur just before they get zapped into the future to battle bad guys in the familiar desolate wasteland. Genre stalwart John Steiner (Caligole) and the ubiquitous Luciano Pigozzi co-star with Carol Andre.

In a time where humanity is living in a stone age, a traveling hunter named Yor saves a village from a dinosaur attack. He hangs around the village until a rival group attacks. Managing to save a beautiful woman and her guardian from the bloodshed. They then go searching for a woman who wears a mysterious medallion similar to the one that Yor wears. Convinced that she may have answers about his own past, he embarks on a dangerous quest that reveals more about himself and the world itself than he could have imagined.

Review in a Nutshell: A zany mash-up of post-apocalyptic and prehistoric films, Yor: The Hunter from the Future is buoyed up by the charming performance of Reb Brown as a futuristic caveman with perfect hair and a winning smile. Also included are lethal robots, savage tribes, and giant rubber dinosaurs.

This week's episode straps on its football pads and abandons any hope for a brighter future as we dig into a couple post-apocalyptic films. First up is a Russian daisy of a film known as Psy(or Dogs) and Cirio Santiago bursts onto the show with Wheels of Fire!

This week's episode bids farewell to the month of October with a couple satanic cop films marking the returns of Lou Diamond Philips and Arnie Schwarzy back to the podcast. A couple unlikely challengers step into the Cult of Muscle this week. Alain Delon shows up on the doorstep and he brought his Eurocrime buddies with him in Big Guns aka Tony Arzenta. Then from the depths of the Amsterdam canals come one of the most unlikely genre mashups we've covered on the show and that film is Amsterdamned!

Two of our favorite European filmmakers invade the Cult of Muscle this week. We just can't quit Renny Harlin so we give his criminally underseen Mindhunters the treatment and Paul Verhoeven descends from the rafters with Kevin's digital Bacon in Hollow Man. Also, this episode is dedicated to our favorite Survivor in the sky!

For the very first episode we decide to review two monolithic films from direct John Hyams. We love our JCVD, our Dolph, our Adkins, our Arlovski, so we had to review Universal Soldier: Regeneration and Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning. Buckle in for this family-sized episode, so don't be afraid to get someone to spot for you.

With this film, Britain tried for another version of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms only in this outing we find ourselves following a couple of greedy morons who capture a prehistoric beast and sell it to a London circus only to have its angry mom shows up to cause trouble.

Hammer Films takes a break from gothic horror with this prehistoric adventure tale about a pretty blonde who flees her tribe, who wanted to sacrifice her to the Sun God, in a film that pits man against dinosaurs in a world before time.

In this goofy Disney comedy, we have a group of British nannies who must steal a dinosaur skeleton to prevent Chinese agents from getting their hands on a piece of microfilm. Sadly, no living dinosaurs make an appearance in this film.

Rankin/Bass Productions sets aside their animated Christmas Specials to give as an adventure film starring Richard Boone as a wealthy big-game hunter who, along with a group of friends, become trapped in a lost valley where they are stalked by a ferocious dinosaur.

A young boy comes into possession of some mysterious eggs that hatch to reveal a brood of tiny dinosaurs, as one would expect, and he must save them from an unscrupulous fortune hunter who took miniature dinos from their jungle home in the first place.
