solutions for me are 1. I copied the contents from the CD which is on the inside of the sleeve and when I tried to log into my activation screen by using the serial (which is in the lower left hand corner) it didn't work so I am assuming it must have been taken out by how the sleeve was being shipped. 2. I need to find a hard copy or another copy of the product key sticker or key and put it on that then put that on the sleeve to be shipped to me.
I need to get rid of the activation screen and just be able to log on to the computer. Of course, this means that I need to have my product key to do that, but I don't have it so I can't install Windows 7 or Windows 8, or whatever else.
I tried downloading and using some way of resetting the key (a few links that you give in the post also had a link to Microsoft Way Reset), but none of this has worked. I had gotten rid of all the real activations that would come up (but not the setup copy which I did not have), but the one that came up after was the activation screen, and I am at a loss as to how to be able to log into my computer without my product key which I don't have, and I am pretty sure that my product key is the problem.
Follow the steps: 1. Follow the post, 2. Don't let the computer wedge with the website protected by Norton (you can disable it in the BIOS settings. 3. Make sure you are using the exact same product key from the basic setup d2c66b5586
