Some Optus postpaid plans already come with roaming inclusions, but for those that don't the $10 Optus Roaming Pass is available. Similar to Telstra, with Optus you'll pay $10 for 1GB of data which either lasts 24 hours or until you use it up (whichever comes first). This pass comes with unlimited talk and SMS but note that MMS incur additional charges. Optus Roaming is available in 90 destinations.
Optus' prepaid roaming gives you 10GB to use in 10 destinations over 14 days. This is probably a more practical roaming option if you're looking for a short-term solution, and your country is covered. You might have seen that we did charge customers roaming rates to make calls and send texts between EU roaming destinations, but we will now be refunding all customers who did this. After finally getting through to vodafone and asking to to be upgraded to global roaming plus not an easy procedure i have had to cancel my contract with them with no penalties as stated however this will only end after 30 days when it will revert to a pay as you go .
Disgusting. Left lousy o2 so we could have free Turkey roaming few times a year when away, also convinced family and friends to switch to vodafone. In return this is the bull they come out with. Remember what happened last time vodafone tried this few years ago. Yes they changed their minds.
