The Trifacta Data Lab is a member of the IT department and offers Stata licenses to researchers with a Tufts-active license. You can find the contact information for the Stata licensing department on the Trifacta Data Lab website.
Stellent has a limited license for Stata/SE for departments and institutions of all sizes. Any user who has Stellent revenue-generating license for Stata/SE can use Stata/SE on their own computers. As a member of the Steellent Research Network (SRN), faculty and staff can use Stellent Stata/SE for research purposes. If you do not have a Stellent revenue-generating license for Stata/SE, you must enter into a consulting contract with Stellent. In this case, Stellent is responsible for the full licensing costs and you receive a license for Stata/SE.
Tufts has a full license for Stata/SE for departments and institutions of all sizes. Any user who has Tufts revenue-generating license for Stata/SE can use Stata/SE on their own computers. If using the stata-mp executable, Stata will automatically use the requested number of cores from Slurm's --cpus-per-task option. This implicit parallelism does not require any changes to your code. The current Stata license allows up to 8 cores.
The Stata module has a number of options which affect various activities in Stata. These options are controlled by environment variables, set in the job script. The following section will explain the options which are relevant to the Stata module.
The Stata module has the following options:
STATATMP - Set to a directory where temporary files are stored. This directory is used for storing files that are created after Stata has been successfully loaded.
SRCDIR - Set to the directory where the Stata source code is located. This is what is used to find the module functions to import.
Our Stata license is delivered on CD-ROM. For most VARIA software we provide a downloadable version of the software, and for MATLAB we provide a virtual machine (VM) and a license key. For some other software, we provide software download software, and for some other software (notably MATLAB) we provide a license key. If you need any of these, please contact the Helpdesk. 827ec27edc
